Hi friends, I’m Laura—a proud North Carolina native with a lifelong love for creativity, shopping, and all things home! After 35 years of teaching exceptional children in Charlotte and Guilford County, I decided to follow my heart into a new adventure—one that blends my passions for decorating, teaching, and finding treasures that make people smile.
What started in my garage with a little paintbrush and a big dream has grown into something truly special. From experimenting with paints to setting up booths at local markets, I discovered my true joy: the thrill of the hunt—finding unique pieces, reimagining them, and helping others create spaces they love.
That journey eventually led me to open The Cottage HP in 2019. What began as my “she shed” has now blossomed into a warm and welcoming boutique right in the heart of High Point.
